Our most recent development was a collection of 5 luxury apartments in Peckham Rye
– Fendall Apartments, 28 Choumert Grove, London, SE15 4PD.
We appointed GJM Property on Belenden Road to sell these apartments. They were so impressed with the apartments when asked for help naming the apartments they suggested we call them GJM Apartments!
Following research, we opted to use the historically relevant name Fendall Apartments.
We found historic documents at www.english-heritage.org
that reference the name Choumert and how it originated form Mr George Choumert who was a wealthy landowner in the early 1800’s on the west side of Rye Lane.
Mr George Choumert was originally from Lorriane in France but moved to England when he married in to the wealthy Fendall family of Bermondsey and became a Britsih Citizen in 1796. He then went on to develop large areas of the local community.
As such we proposed the name - FENDALL APARTMENTS to the local authority and it was accepted.
For us Fendell Apartments was another labour of love right down to finding the most appropriate name.

All 5 apartments were privately purchased by professionals working in the city.
We provided them with the high quality homes that they wanted.

Mr Rachev, a professional hair stylist working in Central London:
“I purchased my new apartment from QNEWHOMES in January 2013. Having suffered previous problems and stressful times with my previous home buying experience, dealing with Damien was a breath of fresh air!
He was extremely efficient, honest and always delivered without fail. The excellent level of communications and regular contacts enabled me to move in quickly and comfortably. I couldn't have asked for more from QNEWHOMES. I have now settled in to my beautiful new apartment which has been built and designed to very high standards with an immaculate finish and fantastic use of space. I am now a proud owner of a high-class apartment in a fabulous location.”
Mr Wells, a solicitor in the Central London:
“I bought a new build apartment from QNEWHOMES (QNH) in December 2012. Despite issues with a historic restrictive covenant on title which we had to resolve, the transaction progressed well, helped largely by the open lines of communication between me and Damien Wynne of QNH. Damien responds quickly to emails and is always interested in working collaboratively to progress the transaction. In terms of build quality, this is to a high standard. Like with all new builds, there are always teething problems to iron out but, unlike other smaller developers, Damien and his team responded timely and efficiently to snags. QNH honour their after-sales care commitments. I would be happy to deal with QNH on a future property transaction.”
Ms Coates, a local government officer and Ms Bufton, a data analyst working in Central London:
“My partner and I bought a new build apartment from QNEWHOMES in December 2012. We've been really impressed with the quality of the build and the attention to detail. The design of the apartment is really well thought out and everything has been finished to a high standard. It's obvious that Damien and his team put a great deal of thought into the livability of a home - right down to placing sockets in the bedroom so it's easy to mount a TV!.”
